What is the S. Region ATEN Satellite at NSU?
The South Region ATEN Satellite at NSU is a preview, demonstration, and resource site. The NSU Satellite is open to anyone with an interest in assistive technology. The NSU Satellite is a collaborative venture among the following agencies: South Region ATEN, Nova Southeastern University Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Broward County Public Schools Exceptional Student Education Department, and Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System.

What is Assistive Technology?
Assistive technology refers to any device or service that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities. This includes augmentative communication devices, which are specialized pieces of technology used to enhance spoken or written communication.

Hands-On Assistive Technology
Open Labs are held periodically throughout the year to allow community members to drop in and meet with AAC product representatives.
Open Labs are held from 10:00-2:00 on selected dates.
